New Jersey Turnpike Exit 8a

The surrounding area of exit 8a of the New Jersey Turnpike is primarily composed of industrial warehouses.  The area represents approximately 50 percent of the modern warehouses located in New Jersey.  Although an expected amount of increased truck traffic is associated with warehousing, do the warehouse locations and related traffic increase the probability of an accident?  To incorporate the knowledge that I acquired in Doctor Wansoo Im’s Class, GIS Health & Planning,  I created this analysis to correlate warehouse locations and the proximity of accidents in the area.  Arc GIS software  was used in this project to create maps, run a spatial analysis and increase data management.   Data was collected from various websites in order to perform a thorough analysis of the question at hand.
